Tech Innovations from SXSW 2009
by Bradley in Tech News on March 23rd, 2009 Post a commentThis year’s South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas featured a number of prominent innovations ranging from hardware to software. With a focus on emerging technology, the venue showcased a variety of new and upgraded product lines:
Dell Adamo Notebooks
Following in the trajectory of the MacBook Air, the sleek Adamo by Dell series features high-end design and performance for Windows machines. Powerful enough to run today’s most demanding graphics software, while maintaining a sleek profile, the new line should be appealing for design and traveling professionals.
NVIDIA Speak Visual
Winner of the South by Southwest Digital Motion graphics award, the latest version of Speak Visual graphics technology enables faster 3D rendering, high resolution displays and paves the way for the next generation of gaming and graphics technology.
Aviary Image Editing
Traditionally, graphics professionals could rely upon desktop Photoshop Creative Suite or the open-source GIMP platform. Now, Aviary is introducing an on-line creative editing platform for images, vector graphics and, even, audio productions with additional media planned for the future as the platform grows. With a web-based interface, creative professionals can now collaborate and interact with productions remotely with ease.
